Perigord & Lot | Day 1

Departure from Paris in a deluxe coach with your Carol Voyages guide and road to Perigord. Stop in Sorges for a visit of the truffle ecomuseum. In a beautiful restored farm, discover all the mysteries of the black diamond. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.

Perigord & Lot | Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Road to Perigueux and walking tour of the heart of the city including the Gallo-Roman Vesunna Museum and the Saint-Front Cathedral, which is part of  the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela path. Free time in town for lunch. Continuation on Montignac to visit Lascaux II, the exact replica of the most famous Palaeolithic sanctuary in the world. Continuation to Collonges-la-Rouge, classified among the most beautiful villages in France, and time for a walk in this town nicknamed ‘the city to the 25 towers’. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.

Perigord & Lot | Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning drive for the visit of the impressive Padirac Chasm, 103 meters deep. Continue to Rocamadour, splendid medieval village suspended above a canyon. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to the medieval village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and walking tour. Continuation on Cahors and visit of a cellar with tasting. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.

Perigord & Lot | Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the wonderful village of Domme, the land of Jacquou Le Croquant, which also offers an exceptional panorama over the Dordogne valley. Continuation to the village of La Roque Gageac, classified among the most beautiful villages in France. Departure for a one hour cruise on the Dordogne river in a “gabarre”, traditional flat bottom boat. Continuation with the visit of the castle of Beynac and road to Sarlat. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.

Perigord & Lot | Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning dedicated to the walking tour of Sarlat, city which counts the most classified historical monuments in a square meter of all Europe! Discover the house of La Boétie, the place of the geese market, the tower of the executioner, the lantern of the dead, the hotel of Vienna, the Récollets… Free time for lunch in Sarlat. In the afternoon, visit a farm of goose or duck breeding with tasting of “foie gras”. Continuation with a visit of the Eyrignac gardens. End to Castelnaud. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.

Perigord & Lot | Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit of the Castelnaud castle and then visit of the Aiguevive plant oil factory and the nuts ecomuseum. Drive back to Paris with stop for lunch. Arrival in Paris at the end of the day.
