Departure in the morning from Paris in deluxe coach with your Carol Voyages guide and road to Bordeaux. Stop on the way in Cognac and free time lunch before a guided tour of the Remy Martin cellars in order to know everything about cognac! Continuation on Bordeaux and installation in your hotel 3-stars hotel in the vicinity. Free time for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Bordeaux Wines | Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, departure by coach with your guide for a visit of the superb city of Bordeaux. In the afternoon, cruise with wine tasting and stop at the Cité du Vin for a visit. The Cité du Vin opened in June 2016 and was conceived as a unique cultural leisure site dedicated to wine as a cultural, universal and living heritage. Free time for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Bordeaux Wines | Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the morning to the Libournais for the visit of Saint-Emilion, medieval village with picturesque alleys, famous for its wine of course, its cellars, its monolithic church, but also for its ice creams! Free time for lunch in the village. Continuation to the lands of the famous Château Pétrus and stop at the Château des Annereaux in Lalande-de-Pomerol for a visit with wine tasting. Continuation for a visit of the magnificent castle of Montaigne and the tower Magne where the famous writer spent most of his days to meditate, think and write his essays. Return to Bordeaux, free time for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Bordeaux Wines | Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning drive to the Médoc to visit the cellars of the Château Lafite Rothschild. Continuation for a visit of the cellars of Château Margaux and free time for lunch in the village. Afternoon beach with road to Lacanau ocean to admire fine sand and surf. Return to Bordeaux, free time for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Bordeaux Wines | Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning in Bordeaux you will attend a 3-hour oenology course for an introduction to tasting accompanied by 5 wines to enjoy. Free time for lunch in Bordeaux. In the afternoon, drive to the Graves and the Sauternes with visit of the family cellar of Grand Maison in Léognan followed by a visit of the Château Guiraud, the first “grand cru” classified Sauternes, with tasting. Return to Bordeaux, free time for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Bordeaux Wines | Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel and check out then return to Paris. Stop at Saumur for a free time lunch then guided tour of the Ecole du Cadre Noir. Discover the spearhead of equestrian art in France! An exciting and very informative visit. Continuation to Paris.
