Weekend in Guedelon | Day 1

Departure from Paris in a deluxe coach with your Carol Voyages guide and road to Burgundy. Stop in Auxerre for a tour of the old town with its half-timbered houses, the St Etienne cathedral, the Clock Tower… Free time for lunch in the old town then drive to Chablis for a visit of a wine cellar with tasting. Continuation to Ancy-le-Franc and visit of its castle, flagship of the Renaissance. Dinner in the hotel restaurant or nearby and overnight in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.

Weekend in Guedelon | Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning drive to Noyers, classified among the most beautiful villages of France, and pedestrian visit. Drive to Guédelon and visit the construction of the castle as in the 13th century. Discover the eleven trades present on site : Carriers, stone cutters, masons, carpenters, lumberjacks, blacksmiths, tiliers, carters, tailpieces, etc … Free time on the spot for lunch and resumption of the visit. At the end of the day drive back to Paris.
