Gastronomic Burgundy | Day 1
Departure from Paris in a deluxe coach with your Carol Voyages guide and route to Burgundy. Stop at Sens for a stroll through the old town with its wooden houses and a visit to St Stephen’s Cathedral. Road to Joigny and lunch at the Côte St Jacques, 2-star Michelin restaurant with a 4-course menu. Continuation to Chablis for a visit to a wine cellar with tasting. Continuation to Ancy-le-Franc and visit of its castle, flagship of the Renaissance. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.
Gastronomic Burgundy | Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure for Noyers classified among the most beautiful villages of France and visit. Continuation for a visit to the Cistercian abbey of Fontenay founded by St Bernard in the 12th century. Route to Saulieu and lunch at the Relais Bernard Loiseau, a 2 Michelin star restaurant with a 3 course menu. Then drive to Marsannay, the first village on the Côte de Nuits. Visit the cellars of the castle of Marsannay where you will discover the history of the Burgundy’s wines, the cellars with double vault of Cistercian style, and a tasting with view on the vines. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning drive to Dijon and visit of the city. In its restored medieval center, discover the magnificent Palais des Ducs, the Fine Arts Museum or the Hôtel de Vogué. Lunch at the famous Hostellerie du Chapeau Rouge, 2 Michelin stars with a 3-course menu then road to Gevrey Chambertin and visit of a cellar then continuation to the famous castle of Clos de Vougeot for a visit. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.
Gastronomic Burgundy | Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, cross the ‘Champs Elysées” of Burgundy with appellations as prestigious as Vosne Romanée, Aloxe Corton, Volnay, Meursault, Puligny Montrachet… Stop at Nuits-Saint-Georges for the original visit of the Cassissium to discover the seven keys opening the doors of the wonderful world of blackcurrant. Continuation to Beaune for a lunch at the restaurant Loiseau des Vignes, 1 Michelin star with a 3 course menu, 2 glasses of wine, mineral water and coffee. Then visit of Beaune, jewel of the medieval architecture : the museum of the hotel Dieu and the hospices of Beaune. Continuation by a visit of the famous Mustard Fallot. Free time for dinner and night in a 3-star hotel in the surrounding area.

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit a cellar at Aloxe-Corton. Road to Pernan-Vergelesses and lunch at the restaurant Le Charlemagne, 1 Michelin star with a 3-course menu. Continuation to Bazoches for a visit of its feudal castle and home of Vauban. Return to Paris.
